Native Texas Landscape did a fantastic job on my yard. From start to finish, very professional, cleaned up every day after work, and easy to work with. They did so well, that I always recommend them to anyone I know looking for landscaping. They installed an irrigation system, flower beds, trees and a paver patio extension. Later I had them install French drains from my backyard to the front. Works like magic! I will definitely be using them again in the future for more landscaping. You will not be disappointed.

We lost over 80 plants in our yard in last winters freeze. Wes came out, gave us ideas for replacing plants and gave us a cost estimate on the spot. The new plants were installed, watered and fertilized in one day. Subsequently, six of the plants in one area died and Wes replaced them

We have used Native Texas Landscaping (NTL) for more than 10 years. They are professional and creative. I have given my personal recommendation of NTL to several friends which says a lot! They have always gone above and beyond to get the job done- when they are doing the job they clean everything up at the end of each day to minimize the look of construction. Native Texas Landscapes came to my rescue after receiving no help from numerous other “dead end streets” I had contacted regarding a logistics problem I had with mold/moisture build up due to water retention on the outside of my home. After retirement, I purchased a home only a few streets off the beach of El Jardin Del Mar and the Gulf. Water retention and flooding had been such a frequent irritation over the years that the house had been treated for termites TWICE, as learned during disclosure, even before I had purchased it! As soon as I called Native Texas Landscapes, Wes Hackney, paid me a visit and made a quick assessment of the problem. What he first noticed was, that I had a slight decline grade in my backyard, causing water to be trapped up against the concrete patio right outside the backdoor. When he showed me the decline he exclaimed: “The patio is acting like a dam since it was poured directly up against the backwall of the house.” The diagnosis was as follows: 1. dig out the concrete against the wall of the house creating a “nonconcrete” section between the house and the remainder of the patio; lay decorative flagstones to highlight a short path to the rest of the patio. The flagstones were situated in such a way to enable drainage. 2. Create a French drain (dry moat) engineered to run the length of the backwall of the home, topped with gravel funneling water to a vacant gully outside of the fenced backyard area. 3. Outfit overhead gutters on the back eaves. These “commonsense” measures (which had been completely overlooked by every other company I’d called), only took his entire crew two full days to complete. Best of all, I have NEVER had water retention/flooding/or moisture build up in my house or yard since…and that INCLUDES HURRICANE HARVEY! Remarkable considering that numerous houses in my area DID suffer flooding! Lynn Woods, Ph.D.

Wes and his crew have been out to my property twice. The first time, they cleaned out a ditch that allows for water to drain from my yard to the retention basin at the back of my neighborhood and replaced a rotted bridge that spanned it. Everything turned out great! They were on time, and very professional, and finished in record time. . I was especially impressed with how Wes handles and talked to his crew. There is a reason they have all worked with him for so long.
Several months later, I had them return to tear out some flower beds and replace them with sod. (One of Wes’ recommendations to me.) Not only did they get it done quickly, but also moved some of the bushes that were removed and replanted them in the front where some had died. They then proceeded to work on my sprinkler system that seems to have failed, so that the sod could be watered. Turns out I needed a new controller, which they took care of, as well.
I will be calling Wes at Native Texas Landscape for any other needs I have in the future and have also recommended him to all my friends!

Amazing experience! I interviewed multiple landscape designers. Wes really listened to me, and was able to put together a landscape design based on my ‘wish list ‘ ( I don’t want to see fence, privacy screen from neighbors, low maintenance, evergreen etc.. ). I was extremely impressed that I received the quote on the spot. After reviewing options we chose Wes. His crew (shout out to Sammy) was amazing - my little tweaks accommodated with open arms. We put in a mini putting green and when my husband decided he wanted “Amen Corner” flags the crew came out and made it happen. I have received sooo many compliments from others, t most importantly I am happy. It highly recommend!!!
